Julie Bateman
I am an animal artist at heart, but I do attempt portraits and inanimate objects from time to time. I specialise in graphite, soft pastel and oil painting. I received a distinction for a foundation in Art & Design at Central Saint Martins in 2008. I went on to complete a bachelors degree in Fine Art at Kingston University in 2012.
Since University I have been developing a career away from art. However now I am working Part time 2018 has awaken my artist block and I have become an active artist again driven to improve. I am taking commissions for all animals in soft pastel or oil painting. Please follow my instagram where I show more of my journey as an artist.
Other areas of interest which hopefully I will be able to show in the next year is special affects makeup. this involves creature creation which links in to my animal art. Working on a 3D scale excites me and I will return to sculpture and casting in 2019.
